Course Details
In the “Using FTP to Upload your Website” course you will learn how to upload your website files to your web hosting account using FTP. You will learn about specific FREE FTP software you can download which will allow you to transfer files to and from your web hosting account or server. We will show you how to add and remove FTP accounts through cPanel then we will show you how to use FTP software to connect to your web hosting account. We will explain to you all the requirements you will need to connect to your FTP account to your web hosting account.

- How to create an FTP account
- What a hostname is
- How to login to your FTP Account
- How to navigate around your folders and files
- How to transfer to and from your computer to your web server
Students will conclude the course with:
- The knowledge of what software to use for FTP

- The ability to connect their computer to their FTP account
- The ability to transfer files to and from your computer and web hosting account
Requirements
- You will need to either have a cPanel Web Hosting Service or we will guide you on how to sign up for our partner's Web Hosting Service for $10/mo with a free domain name.
