Course Details

This is an introductory class that teaches the basics of websites, web hosting, email, and domain names. We explain to you all the pieces that makeup web hosting service and all that is needed to have a website operate online. We guide you through the process of registering a domain name and hosting your first website.

We will explain to you how the internet operates and how websites work. We will discuss popular web hosting control panels used to manage your web hosting account and email. We will assist you in configuring your email accounts on both webmail and on your mobile. (you@yoursite.com) Once your email is configured we will show you how to install website applications and website builders onto your domain name so you can begin designing your website. Lastly, we will show you how to view how many visitors are coming to your website using AWStats.

• You will need to either have a cPanel Web Hosting Service or we will guide you on how to sign up for our partner's Web Hosting Service for $10/mo with a free domain name.
