In this course, you will learn what DNS is and how DNS zone files operate. DNS helps a domain name find the location of different aspects of a domain. (Website, Email, Etc.) You will learn about each of the records that make up a DNS Zone file including A Name, C Name, MX record, Pointer record, etc. You will learn to point the domain name to a website or email service. We will also explain how name servers work and how they point to the server hosting the DNS for the website or email. Knowing DNS Zone files you can transfer a website from one host to another without any downtime. You can ask any questions you may have along the way.
